Homologation of Degrees

Royal Decree 967/2014 (21st November 2014) regulates the homologation and equivalence of higher education foreign Degrees. 

DEGREE AND MASTER

Recognition of Degree and Master has to be presented at the Spanish Ministry for Education, Culture and Sport. The period to solve is 6 months.

Law stablishes conditions and proceedings for:

• The homologation of foreign degrees of higher education to corresponding official Spanish Degrees and Masters to access to a regulated profession in Spain.
• The equivalence of foreign degrees of higher education to corresponding official Spanish university degrees of specific fields and brand of knowledge.

EQUIVALENCE RECOGNITION OF DOCTORATE

Spanish Universities are responsable for Equivalence Declaration of foreign Degrees of Higher Education corresponding to Doctorate Academic Level.

The approval can take 5 months, and obtaining it doesn´t involve getting any of the two homologations of university degrees above mentioned.
